ICF (Insulated Concrete Forms)

ICF's are a green way to use a non-wood-based material to create the building envelope. Used in conjunction with fly-ash concrete, and it is a nice solution. Certain ICFs (like Rastra blocks) require no drywall and use less than half of the concrete of a typical ICF. ICF's can be used as part of, or all of, the foundation in concert with the ICF exterior walls. A high recycled content ratio is just part of what makes this an
attractive solution. Others include: strength, better insulation
performance, lower installation costs and even a higher valuation
compared to other building methods. No drywall needed as it meets the
fire rating in it's unfinished state!
