Michael C. Williamson, Founder & President

Ultra-Green Home Designer, Green Materials Consultant, Tech./Bus. Consultant to the AEC
Michael is very passionate about Architecture, Technology, Ecology, Green Materials, Great Design and the cutting edge in the AEC industry! He designed his first home at 14 which his parents had built, that incorporated the now popular "green design" of: "open-flow, large glazings to let in more natural light in, along with minimalistic use of walls and large open spaces" -as integral parts of that home's design.
His green design for the Bahamas TekSol Haus, is one that is an: Off-the-Grid, Net-Minus Energy (not just net zero) home. Which is to say that it is a home that produces enough energy to power itself and a vehicle. The home takes into account storm surge possibilities.
This incorporates the latest in Green Materials and Green Technologies for the Home on the market (or soon to be), today! He believes that until the Green Movement in the AEC realizes that costs have to match current products, migration will be slower than preferred, regarding macro results. Thus coining the phrase: " 'Double-Green' - Good for the Earth, good for your pocketbook!"
Michael is a serial entrepreneur, having started and bootstrapped 5 companies, of which 3 were/are successes. One of those was in Tokyo, Japan. He speaks fluent Japanese, and understands some German still; as he has lived in Japan for almost 8 years, and in Germany for a total of one year. Michael studied Architecture in college, along with Japanese, CompSci and Business at West Valley College in Saratoga, CA, and then at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. He is an expert author, having been published in trade magazines on the latest in green materials. (some articles below.) He enjoys: people, architecture, art, new tech, fly-fishing with his grandfather's old bamboo rods, driving through the twisties in his Porsche 951, skiing, photography, travel, soccer, golf, baseball, -and most of all- spending time with his wife and kids doing one of those things!
Michael's Philosophy on Green Design & Ecology:
Whether "Climategate" proves one way or another regarding climate change, to me it is irrelevant. Why? Because I believe the answer lies with us individually, not forced from some government; especially in the form of taxes. I believe we all have responsibility to not waste any resource we are given, or possess; natural or other.
What have you done today to be friendlier to your: home, neighborhood, community, country and the Earth? How about just starting there? A massive movement of wealth via forced taxes to accomplish some agenda is also not the answer!
To debunk some of the myths, please see my other page here for some shocking news regarding which mode of transportation pollutes the least per ton of cargo moved over a kilometer. Most of you will be surprised! Click Here for that page.
Thank you for checking out our website! It's not the greatest, but we're trying to convey a lot of info in an engaging way, without taking up too much of either your time, or our time to create it, so that we can concentrate on projects!
Thank you, -and enjoy!
